About Me

My first-grade teacher wrote a letter calling me a "gifted writer."

I've been chasing that high ever since.

As an adult, I've developed as a writer and person while teaching, traveling, and having three of my own kids. I write full-time and my work has been featured in print and digital publications. I also teach Creative Writing as part of the APEX Arts Magnet Program in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, where I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by the next generation of gifted writers.

In 2021 and 2022, I was recognized as an Author Fellow at the Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing Summer Conference and as a Writer-in-Residence at the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities. These opportunities have allowed me to engage with a larger community of writers and artists, which is at the heart of all of the work that I do. If you are creating anything, I'd love to connect!
